Credit Bureau?

happy asked:

I am facing a situation with a Credit Bureau – Equifax. It is regarding my personal information being updated incorrectly on my credit file they have. After providing them the proof of my correct date of birth, they did change it to the correct one on July 12, 2007. I noticed effective July 24, 2007 it has been changed back to the incorrect one that I disputed earlier. Upon my calling Equifax I was informed that they will change my personal information based on the report they receive form their member creditor(s).

My concern is that they rely more on their member creditors than the proof that was provided to them for my correct date of birth. I wonder if Equifax, and other credit bureaus for that matter, would do the same for any personal information.

I would appreciate any suggestion you can provide on how to handle/deal with this problem.

How late on a car payment can you be before they report to the credit bureau?

Sissy asked:

It will be 20-25 days late before I can pay my car payment this month, does anyone know how long they wait before reporting to the credit bureaus? This is my second late payment, which was last month, but was only a couple days late. These two months are the only times we have fallen behind in the year and a half we have had the vehicle. I appreciate any input you may have. Thanks!

Need to know how to report my last renter to the credit bureau?

justburned asked:

My last renter in California left without paying the full last month rent and 8+ months of late fees of about $1,000. He left the place a disaster, left some damage, took the keys and garage openers and stole over $2,000 of our property as well.
We have filed a police report but they will not do anything about it.
Does anyone know how we can at least report this to the credit bureau so it will show up on his credit score and hopefully not happen to the next landlord.

Looking for Prepaid Credit Card that reports to the credit bureau and has small startup and monthly fees?

xoookissthisooox asked:

I have bad credit and I am working to establish that credit. I’ve heard of the prepaid credit cards that report to the credit bureau, but some are $30 to start the account. I’m looking for the following:

- Reports to credit bureau, so that I can improve my credit.
- Low start up fee. (Under $10.00)
- Low monthly or annual fee (Under $10 p/month, $60 p/year)

If anyone knows, or has story about a good card, please respond. Thanks.
I appreciate the answers. I am looking for one that does not go through a bank. I don’t want to have to open a new bank account for it. I’m looking along the lines of a mastercard/visa/etc. Thanks.

I need to report a judgment to a credit bureau. How can I do that as an individual, not a company?

Pippi asked:

The judgment was awarded to me in Vista, CA and the debtor lives in Nevada. I will be filing in Nevada also, but in the meantime want the credit bureaus to know he has a judgment against him. Is this possible to do without an attorney or the courts intervention?
Are the major credit bureaus nationwide or is each State separate?

How do I obtain a free credit report from each of the major credit bureau?

leatha asked:

I heard on CNN Headline News that you can obtain one free credit report per year from each of the 3 major credit bureaus.

Does anyone know the names of each credit bureau, the number to call (or address) and what you need to do to get a copy of your credit report?
