What’s the difference between the Equifax Risk Score and the FICO score?

The only thing on my report is old medical bills,(which I have heard doesn’t count much). But I have no open or revolving accounts. I have a pretty good income, but don’t know where to get credit if no one will give me any. The only positive I have is Sprint, and they haven’t reported yet. But need a newer car. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Also, would I have been better off paying off the entire old balance on the car or doing what I did? –> I had about $1,800 left to pay on the car and I rolled that into the new car loan.
I did get a better interest rate. (2.5% better)
Why did I get a newer car?
My older car was a 1995 Olds…It was falling apart, the heater had just gone out on it (probably costing me quite a bit of money to have to fix it.) Besides the fact that a few days after it went out we had a major cold snap, I either wouldn’t have had my car, cause it would have been in the shop or I would have been freezing.
I have to have a car, public transportation in my town is, less than good, running six total routes once an hour. Add onto that I would have to walk six blocks to get to the bus, take the entire route back to the main stop to transfer to another bus to get where I need to go. If I had an appointment for my son, I would literally have to leave four hours before the appointment to make it on time.
