A death cert has to be filed in the county of residence at time of demise. Check with your local county clerk and ask them to check for duplicate name filing by mistake. Credit companies use researchers who run local records and report the demise to Credit agencies. Fraudulent use of SS numbers by illegals can cause this issue. Check with County Clerk and see who is dead. Costs nothing and can get you so pro help. Check your local phone book for County Clerk’s office. Or type County name and State into search engine and bring up county website for info
