Once it goes to a collection agency, it’s usually been reported.

If you received a past due bill from a collections agency, then the debt has already been reported to the credit bureau. Sorry.
Veronica
Never ..!
A collection agency is the servant of the debt holder. The debt holder reports your activity OR
A collection agency can assume a contract to collect the debt and keep a portion of the debt but they don’t report to the agency OR
A collection agency can purchase a “block of debt” from a debt holder. In this case they try and collect and work the percentages. Typically they only pay pennies on the dollar fo the purchase of your debt. Again, they report noting to any agency

Usually, they report you to the bureau after 30 days. You should be OK, but check your credit report just to be sure.
