    They do rely on the person reporting the credit issue. Perhaps you should call your creditor to report the error then resubmit it to Equifax.

    My former spouse’s address appears on my credit report showing a billing address in South Dakota. I have never been nor will I ever but they still show it as a current address for me!

    write whoever you owed that debt 2,ask them what the problem is..then dispute that over equifax (disputing takes tons of hours on avg)

    i believe you are getting all worked up over something very petty — yes if you have the time go for it- but it is like pushing water upsteam dealing this those folks!!!
