How do I report tenants to credit bureaus?

Hi I’m Karma? U heard I’ asked:

It’s a dizzy circle. I’ve been on all 3 credit bureaus sites to find how to report a tenant on being late on rent payments, but no dice. I’ve even googled it. Any one that has any help, it’d be appreciated.

As a landlord, if you join your local apartment owners association, they will help you. If you don’t join, you’re outta luck.

As a private individual….you can’t…..the only way you can affect their credit report is to obtain a Judgment and have that document filed w/ your county recorders’ office….make sure it includes the social security number and date of birth.

Through your local apartment association — which you should join anyway; they have all sorts of useful features, such as forms, newsletters, and access to tenant history when you are trying to qualify a new tenant. They will also help you to understand tenant’s and landlord’s rights (re your other question).
